Pavilion of the Salt

Individual Project

This is a prototype of a pavilion exploring the metaphysical power of the salt. In Japan, salt is believed to have a power of purification removing evil spirits. I designed this pavilion by referring this unique culture. The form of the pavilion represents a crystal of salt and the floor of the platform is used transparent material to make it visible the wood structure from above.
