Boku

Boku is a meditation on impermanence and belonging- on how matter moves and transforms, and what it means to say "I".
The word boku in Japanese can mean "I", but also recalls the words for tree (木), ink (墨), and silence (黙). This work becomes a silent body-not the self that speaks, but the one that simply is.
Scarred and veiled in black ink, this driftwood carries memory, displacement, and quiet resilience.
