From Dark Side of the Moon
Painting
Canvas Φ1200mm

This piece focuses on the unseen relationship between the Moon and Earth. The far side of the Moon remains hidden from our view, yet it exerts a profound influence on Earth. The Moon’s gravitational pull—manifested through tidal forces—is a powerful and constant presence, impacting daily life in subtle yet undeniable ways. In this work, I attempt to visually express the strength of this unseen connection.
To represent the mystery of the Moon's far side and its invisible force on Earth, I have used black melted wax. The color black symbolizes the Moon’s dark face and the unknown realm, while the slow melting of the wax suggests the way the Moon’s gravitational pull affects Earth. The texture and flow of the wax reflect the ongoing tidal movements that occur between the Moon and Earth.
The circular composition within the piece symbolizes the cyclical relationship between the Moon and Earth, representing the continuous, invisible interaction between them. This work seeks to provide a fresh perspective on the things we cannot see—and the unseen forces that shape our world.
