One Upon Another consists of vertically stacked hourglasses, each functioning as a metaphor for an individual life and its finite duration.
Rather than presenting existence as isolated or singular, the work suggests a continuous succession in which one state gives rise to another. Each ending becomes the condition for what follows.
The stacked structure reflects existence as relational and transitional rather than fixed. Time is approached not as a linear progression, but as a series of temporary states emerging one upon another.
